EASY | Chocolate Cookies
And you know what? They taste like they're from a bakery too! For the chocolate coat, you can use as much chocolate as you like. I decided to go for a generous amount of chocolate and boy, that did not disappoint. Just think about biting in a thick layer of chocolate and then tasting a soft and perfect cookie. Yup, that's exactly what these are. And all of that with 4 ingredients. Or 5, when you count the chocolate.
These only need to be in the oven for about 5 minutes, which makes them even more perfect when you don't have a lot of time! Dipping them in chocolate makes it a little more complicated, because they have to cool first and then the chocolate has to harden. But I can guarantee that these are great on their own as well. So, when you are in a desperate need of cookies but don't have a lot of time (or you don't want to be fancy), make these. Trust me, you'll love them. And if you don't, I have nothing to say to you anymore.
Ingredients
for approximately 16 cookies
- 60 grams butter, at room temperature
- 50 grams granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 50 grams all-purpose flour
- melting chocolate
Preheat the oven at 220°C/440°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix the butter and the sugar until the mix is creamy. Whisk through the egg and carefully add the flour. Try not to whisk, but fold the flour through the mixture.
You can either use a piping bag or two spoons to form cookies. The piping bag will be more precise, but the spoons are easier (aka better for lazy people). Leave some room between them, because they most likely will spread.
Bake 5 - 7 minutes or until they are golden brown. Let them cool a completely.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave or au bain marie. Carefully dip the cookies in the chocolate and let the exces drip off. Place the cookies back on the baking sheet and allow the chocolate to harden. Enjoy!
