I'm almost a month late. This is getting embarrassing, isn't it? I promise I had the intention to write and publish this post right after the new year, but something got in between my intention and the actual deed. That something is the biggest fear of every student and it is something that comes back each year in January and June.. And in August if you're unlucky. Yes, I'm talking exams! I just finished my exams in Namur, which means I have one more left in Antwerp and then I'm free! I have some pretty awesome things to look forward to (hint: it involves snow), so I'm counting the days until I finish. But since I finally found some time to write this post, let's go ahead!

Almost a year ago (at Christmas, to be exact), my parents gave me a smart watch. I had been eyeing a sports watch for quite a while already, mainly to track my runs. I asked one for Christmas, but they gave me a smart watch instead. Why? Because it links with my phone and has a lot more functions, which meant it was a lot better value for its money than a regular sports watch. It’s that time of the year again. Or as the English would say: ‘tis the season to be jolly. The holidays are upon us! Here in Belgium, we don’t really believe in the story of Santa bringing us gifts overnight. However, we do have someone elso who does that, and he’s actually coming in 2 days! It's that time of the year again. Most stores are getting out their Christmas stuff by now, but in Belgium & Holland there's another holiday squished in between. Sinterklaas! It's the day of truth for children, because only the ones who have been good all year will be receiving gifts and sweets. After a long time, it's time for another recipe! And not just a regular recipe, no, for once it's a dinner recipe. I've had moments before where I cooked something and people around me said 'you should share it on your blog', but I always said no. Why? Temperatures are slowly but surely dropping, the sun is hiding more often than not and when I wake up in the morning, it’s still a little dark.. Yup, fall is definitely there! Changes of weather also require changes in running clothes and if it means I have an excuse to buy some new things, I’m definitely not complaining! I was stupid enough to subscribe to the H&M newsletter, because now I always get mails that convince me I really need something else. Although I'm not as often in Antwerp anymore, I'm still looking for the best places to eat & drink. I love coffee to keep me awake and since I have a lot of early morning classes in Namur, I was in need of a great coffee spot! In Antwerp, we have an amazing coffee bar near the university (which I should do a post about), but that's not the case in Namur. Every time I walk to the train station, I pass a small, cozy place. As you probably already know, I love my oatmeal. I eat it everyday if I have the time and I'm usually a little (aka very) sad whenever I don't have time or ingredients. I shared some tips to start running a while ago, and one of them was to try out running with some music. I love working out, but I need some up tempo beats to keep me going! Home Decor

Summer is almost over, and that can mean only one thing: school! And bad weather too, but what's the difference? I still have two weeks before university starts again and I'll be enjoying my free time to the fullest in Spain! For the first semester of the scholar year, I will be doing an Erasmus in Namur, a city in the French part of Belgium. Since I will be staying there throughout the week, I'm looking for some stuff to make my room a little cozier and more personal! It's been shamingly long since I posted a recipe. The last proper recipe I made was for my tanned blondies and that was over two months ago! How time flies.. This week, I finally had time to dive into the kitchen again and since we had some apples in our fridge that had had their best time, I wanted to make something with apples.
