As soon as our garden is filled with walnuts, I know it is fall. Yup, for some people fall may be falling leaves or hot drinks, but for me it's gathering walnuts. While I was on vacation, my niece and I decided to visit a nearby city because, well - just because girls have to shop from time to time. The city had many beauty stores, but not regular beauty stores: they all carried professional hair products. Here in Belgium, those are only for sale in hair salons. But over there apparently not! If you have read my rhubarb crumble recipe, you know I bought a huge amount of fresh rhubarb. I froze a whole lot of it, since making a ton of rhubarb recipes in one week wouldn't have been yummy. The only problem with freezing 2 kilograms: we have a small freezer. So when my dad made spaghetti sauce some weeks ago, we had a problem. He always makes enough for about a month (we eat spaghetti each friday) and freezes it. Now, the freezer was already filled with rhubarb. As I told before, I love eating breakfast since I started eating healthier. One of the first things I tried, was muesli. Of course, I made a newbie mistake. A couple of months ago, I found a recipe for warm apples with cinnamon, which turned out to be delicious. Although it isn't very difficult to make, I prefer eating in the winter. The first time I ever went to the MAC-store, I was pretty proud of myself. I don't know about you, but the store was quite intimidating to me. Ever since I have started my blog, I wanted to make cheesecake. It is not something that has been an all-time favourite of mine though. Whenever I see rhubarb, it makes me think back to when I was a child. My grandma has had a vegetable garden for as long as I can remember, and rhubarb was in there as well. Since kids don't really like sour tastes, she had a different way to learn us how to eat it: a stalk of rhubarb and a little plate with sugar next to it, to dip it in. I can perfectly remember the crispy crunch from the sugar and the sourish taste of the rhubarb. Delicious!

It is a cheap brand, perfect for a 14-year-old, who doesn't know anything about make-up. I had bought that mascara for a reason: the upcoming school party. It basically is the first 'party' I ever went to, and it was something everyone wanted to dress up for. When I look back on it, there was nothing special about it (one of our teachers was the DJ!), but I had a lot of fun. Whenever I go through a stressy period, my skin tends to break out. It seems as if it feels what I'm going through and thinks 'Oh, let's just make this worse'. During such times, I feel as if my skin needs some pushing to get back on track. That's when I like to grab a mask and enjoy. My mother has a love-hate relationship with my baking addiction. She loves the fact that I make yummy things for her but she hates having to lend me her kitchen to experiment and make a mess of it. Although I clean up very neatly afterwards, she isn't a fan of sharing her kitchen.That results into 'the sigh'. I know my cleaning isn't as good as the cleaning lady, but I definitely think I do a good job! There is only one rule we have set. Since the cleaning lady comes on thursday, that is a forbidden day to cook. Friday is difficult, but from saturday on she accepts it.
